Grab Bag - 1940s
Since no injection-molded models were actually produced during the 1940s, the exhibits in this section represent oddball kits produced from the 1950s onward. In retrospect, certainly no vehicle category from this decade was more "oddball" than the UFOs or "flying saucers" first sighted en masse following the end of World War II. Were they really alien spacecraft? Weather balloons? Or just the products of mass hysteria? Current research definitely leans toward more of the latter and less of the former.
