About the Design
In 2005, Gerry Anderson's company rebooted its late 1960s series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons under the new title, Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet. Skybase and the Spectrum Angels were back, although Anderson's signature Supermarionation puppets were now represented by figures rendered in 21st century CGI. Also upgraded were the original Angel Interceptors, replaced by the White Falcon/Spectrum Falcon. This new interceptor was lower-slung than its Fab Era predecessor and was distinguished by its slick rear spoiler.
The Falcon had an operational ceiling of 60,000 feet and was armed with two 30mm cannon. |
