U.E.S.S Emmette

Scale: 1/1000
Initial Release: 2010
Medium: Resin
Kit Rarity: 4

About the Design

The United Earth Space Ship "Emmette" is perhaps the most enigmatic spacecraft in Star Trek lore.  The ship appeared only briefly -- and then only from behind -- in the "History of Spaceflight" montage that opened every episode of "Star Trek: Enterprise."  Positioned between the launch of Zephram Cochrane's Phoenix and the NX-01, the "Emmette" is presumably a "Type-3 Warp Ship" that uses conventional chemical rockets as a "fall back" in the event its still-experimental warp drive fails.  If so, the "Emmette" probably only operated within the Solar System.

In Enterprise's final season, its two "Through a Mirror Darkly" alternate universe episodes re-imaged the "Emmette" as a military vessel shown bombing a lunar colony.

About the Kit

Released by Fantastic Plastic Models in late July 2010, the U.E.S.S. Emmette kit was patterned by Scott Spicer and cast by BLAP! Models.  Five inches long, model was in scale with the 1:000 NX-01, NCC-1701 and NCC-1701 Refit kits produced by Polar Lights/Round 2.  It came complete with JBOT decals to depict either the United Earth or "Mirror Universe" Imperial Earth versions.

This kit is no longer in production.

This model was built from an original issue.
