About the Design

Featured in the Japanese anime series "Space Battleship Yamato" (in the USA, "Starblazers"), the Cosmo Zero 52 was a archetypical "space fighter" combining traditional elements of earthbound military interceptors with comic book/sci-fi accoutrements.

About the Kit

This 1:77 scale Japanese import was available briefly in the U.S. in the mid-1980s and turns up every now at then on Ebay. The craft was also produced in a 1/110 scale, and later as part of the Yamato 2199 series.

This model is an original 1980s issue.
