B-Wing Fighter
from "Star Wars - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" (1983)
About the Design
The rebel "B-Wing" Fighter was perhaps the most original spacecraft design created for the original "Star Wars" trilogy. Incorporating the Millennium Falcon's off-center cockpit concept, it was a thoroughly asymmetrical design that nonetheless connoted power and grace. Perhaps the oddest part of the design was that, in combat, the cockpit would remain fixed while the rest of the craft rotated around it. That must have required some awesome piloting skills!
