Billy Meir's Pleiadian UFO (1975)
About the Design
In the mid-1970s, Eduard J. "Billy" Meier of Switzerland released a series of photographs and motion pictures of saucer-shaped "spacecraft" he claimed were from an alien civilization centered in the Pleiadean star cluster. He subsequently went on to become a "guru" of sorts, claiming to have established regular contact with Pleiadean ambassadors who held the key to humanity's past, present and future.Even a cursory examination of Meier's "flying saucers" makes one suspect that they are little more than pie-plates or other disc-shaped objects stuck together; their "flying" looks suspiciously like a model swinging at the end of a string. Even so, Meier continues to have his defenders and adherents, likely due to his New Age message of global and environmental stewardship.
