N. Corsica UFO (1971)
About the Design
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on February 12, 1971, a French family was preparing to take photos of a house they had recently purchased on the north end of the island of Corsica when they spotted -- and photographed -- this disc-shaped object flying overhead. After a slow descent, it reportedly leveled off and disappeared in the direction of Bastia Airfield.
In the mid-1980s, Lunar Models issued a series of one-piece models depicting "famous" UFOs. This model of the North Corsica saucer was released circa 1985. |
About the Kit
Released in the mid-1980s and re-released with upgraded box art in the mid-1990s, this one-piece resin model was one of a half-dozen "true life" flying saucers in Lunar Model's "Classic UFO Series."
