Messerschmitt Me.262 HGIII Luft '46 Concept Fighter (1944)
About the Design
With its Me-262 jet fighter being a proven success, Messerschmitt subsequently proposed numerous variations on its battle-tested airframe. One of these was a three-man high-speed interceptor with in-wing engines: the HG III. Ultimately, this was little more than a "paper project," as no HG IIIs were ever produced.

About the Kit
"Projekt Fleiger" was the name of a Japanese "trading kit" series featuring German concept and experimental aircraft from World War II. Produced in tiny 1/144 scale, these pre-painted models were not identified in their box art; buyers "took their chances," just as they would with trading cards.
This ME-262 HG III was from Series 2 of "Projekt Fleiger," and has been significantly repainted and detailed. |
