About the Design
"Crusher Joe" was a series of Japanese sci-fi novels published between 1977 and 2005. The stories focused on a team of "Crushers," spacefarers-for-hire whose jobs ranged from destroying errant asteroids to terraforming planets.
An anime "Crusher Joe" film was released in 1983 to much fanfare, followed by two TV episodes in 1989. |
About the KitsThese 1:72 plastic kits were released by Japan's Hasegawa company in 2020. They were basically the same model, save for their coloring, decal sets, and color of their optionally tinted cockpit canopies. In terms of engineering, they were miles ahead of the original 1:100 scale kits released 35 years earlier by Takara.
