Colonial Berzerk
Heavy Destroyer Escort

from "Battlestar Galactica: Razor" (Sci-Fi 2007)
Price: $150.00 + Shipping
STATUS: RETIRED

About the Design

"Razor" was the 2007 "Battlestar Galactica" TV movie that documented the exploits of Admiral Helena Cain (Michelle Forbes) and the crew of the Battlestar "Pegasus" between the initial Cylon attack on the 13 colonies and its meet-up with "Galactica" several months later.

The movie's opening act took place at the ill-fated Scorpion Shipyards -- BSG's version of Pearl Harbor -- where most of the Colonial fleet was ambushed by the Cylon invaders. Among the many modern Colonial Navy vessels present at the time were several "Bezerk"-class destroyers. Originally a fan design, the Berzerk had become near-canon by the time "Razor" was produced. But while the original Berzerk was intended to be a smaller escort vessel, those shown in "Razor" were massive, nearly as large as the Mercury-class Pegasus herself.

This "Razor" version adheres that movie's dimensions, resulting in a model that can stand side-by-side with the 1:3700 "Pegasus" we offered a few years ago. Or it can stand on its own as a beautiful display of Colonial military design and engineering.
