About the Design

First launched in 1988, the Ariane 4 is a European-built satellite launching system composed of a multi-stage liquid fuel booster augmented by several strap-on solid fuel rockets.  Launched from French Gianna, the Ariane 4 was once responsible for approximately 50 percent of the world's commercial satellites business.

About the Kit

Produced three years before Ariane 4 became operational, this large-scale kit was one of Revell/Germany's first Stateside releases. Its payload bay features an in-scale communications satellite.
