About the Design

Appearing twice in Season 2 of "The Expanse" -- most notably in the Season 2 finale "Caliban's War" -- the Arboghast was a civilian science vessel commandeered by the United Nations to study the impact of the asteroid Eros on the planet Venus. The large, barrel-shaped spacecraft was powered by four small Epstein-drive engines and was equipped with 10 extendable pedal-like "wings" that allowed it to safely enter Venus' hot, dense atmosphere.
