Phantom Cruiser
from "Space Ghost" (1966)
About the Design
Created by comics legend Alex Toth, "Space Ghost" was TV's first original animated superhero. Fighting crime and injustice throughout the galaxy, Space Ghost traveled between the stars aboard the Phantom Cruiser, a swallow-shaped spacecraft capable of carrying four to six passengers (depending on the needs of the episode). Although "Space Ghost" lasted only one season, its popularity eventually reached cult-like status, leading to the satirical talk show spin-off "Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast," which ran from 1993 all the way until 2008.
