ABOUT THE DESIGN |
ABOUT THE KIT |
One of the newest fighters used by the Republic just before its fall, the "Vector-Wing" was similar in capabilities to the Eta-2 "Jedi Interceptor," but featured shields, which gave it a significantly enhanced defensive posture. Manufactured by Kuat Systems Engineering, the "Vector-Wing" was distinguished by its six large radiator panels that could be deployed in combat to prevent overheating |
Released in April 2009, this was the
first "Star Wars - Episode III" product to be produced by
Fantastic Plastic Models. Patterned by Alfred Wong and cast by BLAP!
Models, the four-inch-long model included postion-able radiator vanes, a clear
resin canopy and a 1/72-scale pilot figure as well as the requisite R2 Astromech
droid. This kit was retired in July 2009. |
