ABOUT THE KIT |
In the mid-1970s, Eduard J.
"Billy" Meier of Switzerland released a series of photographs and motion
pictures of saucer-shaped "spacecraft" he claimed were from an alien
civilization centered in the Pleiadean star cluster. He subsequently
went on to become a "guru" of sorts, claiming to have established regular
contact with Pleiadean ambassadors who held the key to humanity's past,
present and future. Even a cursory examination of Meier's "flying saucers" makes one suspect that they are little more than pie-plates or other disc-shaped objects stuck together; their "flying" looks suspiciously like a model swinging at the end of a string. Even so, Meier continues to have his defenders and adherents, likely due to his New Age message of global and environmental stewardship. |
Released in the mid-1980s
and re-released with upgraded box art in the mid-1990s,
this one-piece resin model of the classic "Pleiadean" saucer was the first
in Lunar Model's "Classic UFO Series." Note the misspelling of
"Pleiadean" on the box cover. This model is an original issue. |
