ABOUT THE DESIGN |
ABOUT THE KIT |
The Nexus was spaceflight
visionary Krafft Ehricke's concept for a Single Stage to Orbit (SSTO)
booster capable of lifting 900 tones into orbit. Standing as tall
as the Washington Monument, the fully recoverable booster system would
have dwarfed anything in either the American or Soviet arsenals, including
the Soviet N-1 and the American Saturn V.
The Nexus' mission could have included anything from space station components to a Mars Mission spacecraft. |
When released in November 2010, the
Convair Nexus was the largest kit yet produced by Fantastic Plastic Models.
Standing 17 inches high, the model was designed in CAD by Scott Lowther and cast
by Masterpiece Models. For information on kit price and availability, CLICK HERE. |
