Klingon V'orcha on a "Peace-Keeping" Mission |
ABOUT THE DESIGN |
ABOUT THE KIT |
Continuing the Klingon tradition of small command modules and massive engineering hulls, the Vor'Cha was the Empire's new flagship when it was introduced halfway through the run of ST:TNG. Bigger and more powerful than any other ship in the Klingon fleet, the ship presented a somewhat flatter profile than previous Klingon designs as well as a bridge superstructure unique among Klingon spacecraft. |
The Vor'Cha (Still called a "Battle Cruiser" by its manufacturer) was a well-made but not overly popular kit from the AMT/Ertl "Star Trek" line. Part of its lackluster sales was no doubt due to the fact that, unlike the B'rel-class "Bird of Prey," the Vor'Cha never played a principal role in any Star Trek movie, nor was it ever more than a background ship in most TV episodes. This model was built from an original issue. |
