ABOUT THE DESIGN |
ABOUT THE KIT |
2005's "Stealth" was a major box-office disappointment. But it did provide fans with an amazing new swing-wing aircraft, the FA-37 "Talon." With moveable forward-swept wings reminiscent of the much-rumored "Switchblade" fighter, the FA-37 fighter/bomber/interceptor was supposed to have a top speed of Mach 4.0 as well as the most advanced radar-evading technology in the American arsenal. Its range was purported to be 4,000 nautical miles. |
Released in October 2009, the FA-37
Talon kit was produced exclusively for Fantastic Plastic Models by Anigrand
Craftswork of Hong Kong. The kit include interior linkage that allowed the
forward-swept swing wings to move in tandem. It also came with large,
medium and small canards that allowed by modeler to build either the Talon 1,
Talon 2 or Talon 3 variations.
