Appearing only briefly during the climax of “Return of the Jedi,” the Rebel B-Wing was nonetheless one of the most original – and most memorable – spacecraft created for the original trilogy.  Wildly asymmetric and featuring folding wings and a rotating cockpit (a feature originally conceived for the Millennium Falcon), the B-wing offered a unique profile as well as a boatload of heavy firepower. 

Produced in an inadequately small scale, the MPC 1/144 B-Wing was one of four “Snap” kits released in conjunction with “Return of the Jedi” in the spring of 1983.  It was later released in a gold-plated version and as part of a ROTJ three-pack.
