ABOUT THE DESIGN |
ABOUT THE KIT |
The AT-99 is a
Mosquito-class VTOL gunship designed for close air support of commercial and
military operations in hostile environments. Designed to fly in
atmospheres with 15 percent, plus or minus, of Earth density, the Scorpion
has a sealed, pressurized cockpit that allows its single human pilot to
breathe even in toxic environments without benefit of an oxygen mask.
Armed with a variety of side- and forward-mounted air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles as well as two forward-mounted .50 caliber machine guns, the AT-99 has a maximum speed of 200 knots and a range of 1,200 kilometers when fully loaded. |
Released in June 2010, the AT-99 was
the first of Fantastic Plastic's "Avatar" kit series. Patterned in 1:72 by
Alfred Wong, the AT-99 featured a full complement of air-to-air and
air-to-ground missiles as well as a full cockpit with a vacuform canopy. For information on kit availability, please CLICK HERE. |
