ABOUT THE DESIGN: | ABOUT THE MODEL: | |
In 1944, Focke Wulf launched a series of studies to develop a fast bomber that could carry 1000 kgs. of bombs 1000 km at 1000 km/hr. Hence "Projekt 1000 x 1000 x 1000." After toying with a fairly radical delta-wing design, FW's designs back-tracked a bit and offered up this slim swept-wing concept armed with oddly askew under-wing jet engines and then state-of-the-art air-to-air wingtip missiles. The project was never developed further. |
