ABOUT THE DESIGN: | ABOUT THE MODEL: | |
The Boulton-Paul P.122 was one
of many high-speed fighter concepts explored by the British in the decade
following WWII. The P.122 featured a swept-wing, twin-boom layout
powered by a single rocket motor. The P.122 would launch via a
trolleyand climb to 60,000 feet within three minutes. It would then
glide back to earth and land via a skid.
The concept never developed beyond the planning stage. |
