ABOUT THE DESIGN: | ABOUT THE MODEL: | |
In 1944, the German Luftwaffe asked the country's major aircraft companies to submit designs for a jet fighter that would use minimal strategic materials, be suitable for rapid mass production and perform as well as the best piston-driven aircraft then in production. Dr. Richard Vogt first came up with this elegant swept-wing design, he subsequently submitted an even simpler straight-wing variation to the competition, the BV.P.211-02. |
