ABOUT THE DESIGN: | ABOUT THE MODEL: | |
BMW was Nazi Germany's first supplier of jet engines for combat aircraft. In addition to providing these advanced propulsion systems for rival manufacturers' aircraft, the company also proposed several advanced fighter project designs of its own. The P.IV was the fourth in a series of proposals for small one-man fighters built around a single BMW .003 jet engine. Its armaments would have consisted of two MK103 cannons placed in its fuselage. Like the other designs in BMW's StrahlJaeger series, the P.IV never got beyond the design stage before the War ended. |
