ABOUT THE KIT |
The "Liabe" was a mothership/carrier craft used to transport two smaller fighters: the boxy "Comet Fire" and the sleek "Galaxy Runner." Its wings would fold open to position the smaller fighters in an upright position just prior to launch. |
The "Starship Liabe" was one of three nifty little model kits released by Entex in conjunction with the Japanese sci-fi movie "Message from Space," which was one of numerous lower-budget space operas produced in the wake of 1977's megahit, "Star Wars." The kit came with both the "Liabe" mothership and detachable mini-versions of the "Comet Fire" and "Galaxy Runner." Bandai later released this same kit with new box art. This model is an original Entex issue. |
