ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

Like the "Batman Forever" Batmobile, this updated Batwing boasted a bio-mechanical look reminiscent of the work of Swiss surrealist and "Alien" illustrator H.R. Giger.  No doubt director Joel Schumacher adopted this look to reinforce the sensual, psycho-sexual themes he intended to emphasize in his films.

Although listed as a 1/32-scale kit, this Batwing was clearly closer to 1/48.  It was just one of a full series of Batman vehicles that Revell/Monogram released in conjunction with both "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin." All featured glossy black exteriors with plenty of internal and external chrome.

This model was built from an original 1995 issue.
