ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

Featured on the 1980's BBC series "Blake's 7," the "Liberator" was a derelict alien starship captured by a band of freedom-fighting renegades who use its superior technology to battle the evil "Federation" that rules the galaxy 800 years hence.  The spacecraft's unusual configuration and lack of conventional engines testifies to its extraterrestrial origins.

Comet of the UK is known mostly for producing resin and vacuform kits; however, this injection-molded kit was a classic.  Also featuring numerous brass-etched parts, its "Liberator" was big, super-detailed and even featured a sturdy display stand.

This model was built from an original issue.
