Here are photos of my finished "2001 Space Station V" model kit.  The Station itself is pretty much built "out of the box" with the addition of tiny pieces of "Scotchlite"  affixed to the window recesses of the complete ring, which give a "lighted" effect when the light hits it.  I also took your largest kit-supplied Orion Shuttle, scratch-built an exhaust plume and posed it to duplicate the classic Robert McCall poster.  The base is custom painted by myself.  Enjoy!  Yours-Steven Vasko
