Based on classic designs from post-World War II juvenile science fiction, the "Galileo" began life as a sub-orbital freighter before becoming a moon rocket via the installation of an atomic-powered engine.  The swallow-winged spacecraft is a single-stage vehicle that launched and landed via retractable skids.
