| In 2008, Northrop-Grumman unveiled the first of two new Unmanned Combat Air System (UCAS) vehicles, the X-47B. The size of a fighter plane, the X-47B is designed to fly high-endurance surveillance and combat missions off aircraft carriers while under remote command. Despite its 62-foot wingspan, the plane has advanced stealth capabilities and is reportedly capable of autonomous mid-air refueling. |
