ABOUT THE DESIGN: | ABOUT THE MODEL: | |
The Strahlbomber I was a swept-wing attack bomber project initiated by Germany's BMW company during the final years of World War II. The bomber was to be powered by six BMW 003 turbojet engines, two mounted in each wing's trailing edge and two more on either side of the pressurized cockpit. The large wing size eliminated the need for a horizontal tailplane. The only armaments were to be two fixed machine guns at the rear of the fuselage. |
