ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

"Dorvak" was a short-lived Japanese animated series about a force of robot-equipped humans battling armored alien invaders.  Unpopular in Japan and never shown in the United States, the series did manage to spawn a slew of wonderful mechs and powered fighting suits, including this PAM-74C, complete with rocket thrusters and onboard bazooka.

Because the original "Dorvak" series is all but unknown in the U.S., its designs have been relegated to this Grab Bag section.

The "Dorvak" models actually pre-date the better-known SF3D kits, with which they bear a strong resemblance.  Like the Nitto kits, these models were brilliantly engineered,  and featured moveable joints, rubber tubing and metal coils for additional realism.

This model was built from an original issue.
