We Have a Winner!

1/15/2008

Nearly 200 of you submitted votes for this, our first Starship Design Contest.   Allowed to choose your top three favorite fighter designs,  you voted overwhelmingly  (in terms of both raw votes and total points) for Entry #104, the V-37 Warlock by Vic Rinaldi.   The Warlock will be produced this year in 1:72 scale by Fantastic Plastic Models, and Vic will receive two complementary kits as his 1st Place prize.  And for all you Warlock fans, the kit will be made available for general purchase via the Fantastic Plastic Virtual Museum Store.  Congratulations, Vic!

Coming in a  2nd in terms of raw votes and total points (and getting nearly as many 1st Place votes as the Warlock) was Entry #5, the unnamed fighter by sci-fi modeling veteran Randy Cooper.  Randy's 2nd Place award is an Iwata HP-CR airbrush set, including airbrush, nose, propellant and masking film courtesy of our co-sponsor, the Central Arkansas Scale Modelers Club (CASM).

Look below to see the complete results for all seven finalists.
