| During the final months of WWII, Japanese aircraft designers considered ways to adapt their more advanced fighter designs to the new jet engines their German allies had just made available to them. At Mitsubishi, the Senden-Kai twin-boom fighter was still under development when engineers proposed a jet-powered version of this as-yet untested aircraft. The war ended before this concept could be developed further. |
