| Not much about the Junkers EF.50 is known outside of what can be surmised from photos of its wind-tunnel model. The plane's over-large propellers, together occupying the entire wingspan, suggest this was a VTOL design, the blades designed to function as both helicopter-like lifting blades as well as providing forward thrust. However, how these props could have been tilted vertically is a mystery considering the engine nacelle's otherwise conventional configuration. |
