ABOUT THE DESIGN:    ABOUT THE MODEL:

The G-Class Starbase was designed by graphic artist Masao Okazaki and appears on his popular website, "The Starfleet Museum." Based in part on the K-7 space station featured in the 1967 "Star Trek" episode "The Trouble With Tribbles," it skillfully blends that station's principle design elements with those seen in the subsequent "Star Trek" motion pictures. It therefore represents a credible transitional link between the two eras.

A long-time Star Trek fan, Okazaki is credited as "Technical Consultant" on the 2008 digitally remastered version of "The Ultimate Computer."
