ABOUT THE DESIGN:    ABOUT THE MODEL:
The "Star Trek" universe is populated by vehicles both canon (those that appeared in the various TV series and movies) and non-canon (usually fan designed). Straddling the two worlds are designs created by illustrators associated with established "Star Trek" properties.. One such design this small deep space waystation created by the artist Meni (Aristomenis Tsirbas), who worked on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Star Trek:Enterprise." It appeared as a background piece for his illustration of the U.S.S. Bonaventure in the 2006 "Ships of the Line" calendar. Clearly based on the K-7 space station from the TOS classic episode "The Trouble with Tribbles," this smaller station is distinguished by the glowing "light column" that connects its upper and lower sections.
