| BMW was Nazi Germany's first supplier of jet engines for combat aircraft. In addition to providing these advanced propulsion systems for rival manufacturers' aircraft, the company also proposed several advanced fighter project designs of its own. The P.1, proposed in 1944, was to be powered by a single .003 unit (800kp), had a single tail boom with two fins. It armament, f 2xMk.103 guns, was to be placed in the forward fuselage. No further details are available. |
