ABOUT THE DESIGN

ABOUT THE KIT

Designed for the Japanese animated series "Battle of the Planets" (originally titled "Gatchaman" and later "G-Force") this odd, asymmetrical space station was equipped with numerous hangar bays from which it launched a variety of bird-shaped fighter craft.

Was this design actually featured on "Battle of the Planets/Gatchaman"?  We raise this question because we've also seen this same model packaged as an undersea laboratory, a function for which it seems far more appropriate.  (Notice the legs under each module?)

In any case, this model was built from an original issue.
